Job Description
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Business Development Manager will lead the development and implementation of strategic and operational Sales & Marketing Plans. The role includes overseeing marketing campaigns, managing sales targets, analyzing business trends, and identifying growth opportunities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in client retention and market expansion, while also ensuring alignment with ITM’s brand and vision.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Marketing
Develop and implement marketing and brand visibility strategies for the Rwanda office.
Strengthen internal and external partnerships to promote ITM as a service provider of choice.
Oversee ITM website and social media content for quality and accuracy.
Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, and marketing events.
Ensure adherence to ITM’s corporate branding in all materials.
Sales
Set departmental sales targets and monitor performance against KPIs.
Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering skill development.
Review and communicate KPIs regularly to team members.
Track sales data, leads, customer interactions, and produce performance reports.
Prepare budgets and financial reports for the department.
Manage the department’s calendar to optimize sales opportunities.
Drive customer satisfaction initiatives and create a client retention strategy.
Business Development
Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategic actions.
Analyze sales data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
Offer recommendations for new products and improvements.
Research market trends and best practices to maintain competitiveness.
Perform other duties assigned by the Managing Director.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
At least 5 years of experience in sales or business development roles.
Strong negotiation skills and proven sales training.
In-depth understanding of local industries and business environments.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability in account development and sales strategy.
Highly organized with strong time management abilities.
Fluency in English (knowledge of French is an added advantage).
