Job Description

The Brand Manager for AfroMobile will be responsible for shaping the brand's strategy, maintaining its identity, and driving its market presence. Key tasks will include the development and execution of marketing campaigns, managing the brand identity, conducting competitor analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive AfroMobile's success as the leading streaming platform in Uganda.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Brand Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to position AfroMobile as the top streaming platform in Uganda.

  • Brand Identity: Ensure consistency in AfroMobile’s brand image, including its logo, visual elements, and tone of voice.

  • Marketing Campaigns: Plan, execute, and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns across various channels such as social media, email, and traditional media.

  • Content Marketing: Work with the content team to develop and promote engaging content tailored to AfroMobile's target audience.

  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor strategies.

  • Budgeting and Resource Management: Manage budgets and resources to optimize marketing efforts.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key partners, content providers, and influencers.

  • Brand Performance Analysis: Use data analytics to monitor brand performance and adjust strategies accordingly.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement brand strategies for AfroMobile.

  • Ensure the AfroMobile brand identity is consistently maintained across all channels.

  • Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns.

  • Collaborate with the content team to create engaging and relevant content for AfroMobile’s audience.

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.

  • Manage resources and budgets for effective brand management.

  • Build relationships with partners, content creators, and influencers.

  • Use data-driven insights to refine brand strategies and measure campaign success.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong skills in brand strategy development, brand identity management, and marketing campaign execution.

  • Deep understanding of digital media platforms, including social media, email, and streaming services.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to innovate and develop compelling brand strategies.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.

  • Passion for the entertainment and technology industries, particularly in the streaming sector.
