The role of a Banking Officer II at the Bank of Uganda encompasses a variety of responsibilities that are crucial for the smooth operation of the bank.
These duties include processing transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers, approving loans and lines of credit, and managing and investing funds.
A Banking Officer II is also responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with banking regulations and laws, and assisting customers with account management.
They must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a high level of integrity. Effective communication and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is the ability to work well within a team.
The position requires a blend of technical skills in finance and accounting, as well as interpersonal skills to handle customer relations and collaborate with other bank personnel.

Qualifications and Competencies
Qualifications:
First Class or Upper Second-Class degrees from recognized Universities in the fields of finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Library and Information Science, Human Resource, Statistics, Procurement, Public Relations, Law (with a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice) and other related disciplines.
Age:
Not above 26 years (as at close of the advert)
Competencies:
Analytical, attention to detail, teamwork, interpersonal skills, high=level of integrity, transparent, problem solving, written and verbal communication, accuracy and innovative.
