Internal Audits:
Conduct internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
Assess compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Risk Assessment:
Identify and assess areas of significant business risk.
Develop and implement audit plans to address identified risks.
Audit Reports:
Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans.
Present audit findings to management and stakeholders.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Stay updated on changes in auditing standards and regulations.
Process Improvement:
Recommend improvements to internal controls and business processes.
Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with management and other departments to gather necessary information and provide audit support.
Communicate audit results and recommendations effectively.
Data Analysis:
Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Follow-Up Audits:
Conduct follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions have been implemented and are effective.
Financial Statements Preparation:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure financial statements comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Regulatory Filings:
Prepare and file regulatory reports and disclosures, such as quarterly and annual reports (10-Q, 10-K) for public companies.
Consolidation of Financial Data:
Consolidate financial data from various departments and subsidiaries.
Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting across the organization.
Internal Controls:
Develop and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting.
Ensure financial reporting processes are effective and efficient.
Variance Analysis:
Perform variance analysis to compare actual results with budgeted figures.
Investigate and explain significant variances.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Stay updated on changes in financial reporting standards and regulations.
Audit Coordination:
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
Provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
Financial Systems Management:
Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and tools.
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in financial systems.
Management Reporting:
Prepare reports and presentations for management, highlighting financial performance, trends, and key metrics.
Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making.
Technical Accounting Guidance:
Provide technical accounting guidance to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and policies.

First Class or Second Class-Upper bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, any other Business-related field, Statistics, STEM (Science, Technology Engineering or Mathematics), Law or Computer Science Full professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or other recognized qualification)
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in a similar or related role, or otherwise demonstrate ability and interest in handing complex auditing and accounting (FRSIPSAS) matters.
About the opportunity-Key roles will include:
Provide technical accounting and audit support to clients and audit teams as a subject matter specialist
Drive implementation of new financial reporting and auditing standards.
Keep up to date with changes to financial reporting and auditing standards.
Perform financial statements pre-issuance reviews.
Review financial reporting and audit technical consultations.
Compile financial statements
Be a champion of our Global Audit Methodology and technology-led audit tocks
Be a member of our Professional Practice Group as a financial reporting or audit technical specialist
