Are you a food, beverage, or dairy manufacturing / plant sanitation expert with the ability to drive results for a global Fortune 500 Company? Join Ecolab’s industry leading Food & Beverage team as an Associate District Manager. We are increasing food safety and product quality, enhancing sustainability and boosting operational efficiency. We provide cleaning and sanitation solutions to food, beverage, and dairy manufacturing environments through a dual focus on sales and technical service/consultation to new and existing customers. As strong business partners, Ecolab works with customers to develop sanitation plans and programs, evaluate processes and procedures, troubleshoot technical issues and identify and implement operational efficiencies.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Build a solid understanding of Ecolab products, customer plant operations and business objectives, and applicable government regulations.
Develops sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals.
Develop strategic work plans for completing sales targets and service/consultation calls with new and existing customers.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab’s innovative products, equipment and services.
Provide industry expertise to customers in terms of sanitation, safety, quality and operations; including assisting with sanitation plans and programs, standard operating procedures, evaluating processes and procedures, identifying and implementing operational efficiencies, and employee training.
Manage Ecolab products and equipment; participate in equipment installations, observe and test equipment and product performance, repair or adjust equipment, adjust chemical concentration levels, monitor product inventory and place orders.
Implement agreed upon corporate account commitments and proactively inform Corporate Account Manager (CAM’s) of results, challenges and initiatives
Communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff; build strong business relationships and networks
Supervise staff in your district.
Follow Ecolab safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
We are looking for candidates who reside within Kampala.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, chemistry or related field.
5 years experience. Significant successful field sales experience. Possess a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Willingness and ability to travel by car throughout territory, including periodic overnight travel, could be required to be on-call during off-work hours and weekends when needed.
Immigration sponsorship to work in the country is not available for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to sell value-added products to customers.
Carry aptitude and confidence to deal with large national and multi-national customers
General mechanical ability.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
