Job Description
The Assistant Marketing Manager will work full-time at Mulindi Factory and collaborate closely with the factory team, transporters, brokers, warehouses, and tea buyers. The role involves calculating prices, managing stock records, ensuring timely transport and documentation of shipments, responding to customer confirmations, supporting procurement needs, and maintaining sales and debtor records. Regular updates and reports will be shared with the Head of Marketing and other departments. Occasional travel to Mombasa and other locations may be required.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Calculate and distribute monthly made tea (MT) prices post-auction.
Maintain weekly MT stock listings (free, auctioned, and direct-buy stocks).
Coordinate tea transport logistics and review transport reports.
Compute and circulate weekly MT offer prices (EXW and FOB).
Liaise with warehouses for tea storage and movement updates.
Manage the dispatch and approval tracking of tea samples.
Submit weekly MT offers to brokers and enter into ITTS system.
Draft contracts, invoices, and shipping documents post-approval.
Track all shipments and ensure complete, timely documentation.
Monitor logistics KPIs and SLAs with third-party service providers.
Address client queries and ensure service performance improvement.
Track and report on contracts, payments, and outstanding invoices.
Maintain accurate sales, debtors, and stock reconciliation reports.
Assist with procurement needs for packaging materials.
Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in marketing, preferably in agriculture, FMCG, or food & beverage sectors
Experience in a tea factory or agricultural business is an added advantage
Strong stakeholder communication and engagement skills
Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational abilities
Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda (verbal and written)
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Self-driven with the ability to work under pressure and minimal supervision
