The role of an Assistant Logistics/Supply Assistant typically involves a variety of duties and requirements aimed at supporting the efficient management of supply chains, inventory, and logistics operations. The applicant should be a person of high moral character and integrity, willing to work in remote rural settlements and should apply for only one (1) Post.

Inventory Management:
Track and maintain inventory levels.
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
Order Processing:
Assist in processing purchase orders and sales orders.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Handle order confirmations, shipping notices, and invoices.
Shipping and Receiving:
Oversee the receipt and dispatch of goods.
Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
Arrange transportation for outgoing shipments.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all logistics and supply chain activities.
Prepare shipping documents, invoices, and purchase orders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate with various departments (e.g., procurement, sales, warehouse) to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate with external partners such as suppliers, transport companies, and customers.
Address and resolve any issues related to logistics and supply chain.
Logistics Planning:
Assist in planning and optimizing logistics operations.
Support in developing efficient transportation routes and schedules.
Contribute to cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.
Support and Administration:
Provide administrative support to the logistics team.
Assist in preparing reports and analyzing logistics data.
Help manage logistics software and tools.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is often preferred.
Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management is beneficial.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using logistics and inventory management software.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of shipping regulations and documentation.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
Problem-solving skills to address logistics and supply chain issues.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory management and documentation.
Communication Skills:
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work well with team members and external partners.
Physical Requirements:
Capability to lift and move heavy items if necessary.
Ability to work in various environments, including warehouses and offices.
