Provide administrative assistance to the administrative secretary and other senior staff as needed.

Manage and organize office files, documents, and records, ensuring easy retrieval and confidentiality.
Draft, proofread, and finalize correspondence, reports, and other documents.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events, including booking venues and preparing necessary materials.
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors and phone calls, providing information and directing inquiries to appropriate departments.
Facilitate effective communication between departments, faculty, staff, and students.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of internal and external communications, including newsletters and announcements.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office Management, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in administrative support or office management are a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or secretarial role, preferably within an academic or institutional environment.
Experience with office management software and systems, such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email applications.
Proficiency in office management practices and procedures.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents and correspondence.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Experience in scheduling, calendar management, and meeting coordination.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Ugandans to fill vacant position at Muni University. Typed application letters should be submitted in triplicate to the University Secretary, Muni University, P. O. Box 725, Arua, or the Kampala Liaison office in Makerere University Lincoln House A1 to be received not later than Monday 16th, September 2024 at 5:00pm.
The application letter should bear the title of the post and the reference number specified against the vacancy.
Applicants should attach three sets of certified photocopies of their Academic Documents and
Professional Certificates, National Identity Card and three recent passport size photographs, a typed and signed CV, evidence of previous employment (contract document(s), appointment letter(s) and Certificate(s) of Service) and any other relevant documents. Where it is required, applicants for academic positions should attach evidence of publications and graduate research supervision.
