The Area Manager will oversee the sales and operational activities, planning, direction, and management of the sales team within their designated area. Successful candidates will be responsible for implementing strategies to meet performance goals in relation to sales growth, market share, stakeholder relationship management and people management in the branches under their direct control. This person will report to the Division Executive-Sales & Operations.
Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple locations within the designated area.
Ensure that each location operates efficiently and effectively, adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales targets, customer satisfaction, and operational metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership and Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise store managers or branch managers within the area.
Provide guidance, support, and coaching to managers and staff to help them meet their goals and develop professionally.
Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork, collaboration, and morale among employees.
Sales and Business Development:
Develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets across the area.
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for expansion and market penetration.
Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotional campaigns, events, and product launches to attract customers and increase sales.
Customer Service:
Ensure that each location delivers excellent customer service and maintains high levels of customer satisfaction.
Address customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner, seeking resolutions to ensure a positive customer experience.
Implement customer service standards and best practices to enhance the overall customer experience across the area.
Financial Management:
Manage budgets, expenses, and financial performance for each location, ensuring profitability and cost control.
Analyze financial reports and data to track revenue, expenses, and profit margins, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance.
Implement pricing strategies, inventory management practices, and cost-saving initiatives to improve profitability.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure that each location complies with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
Monitor and address any compliance issues, legal concerns, or risks that may arise within the area.
Implement security measures and procedures to protect assets, prevent theft, and minimize risks to employees and customers.
Prepare regular reports, updates, and presentations for senior management on the performance and operations of the area.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior management, staff, customers, and external partners, to convey information, address concerns, and align goals.

Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline.
A post graduate qualification in a related field. Professional certification in sales, marketing or related fields is of advantage.
Experience & knowledge:
Minimum of five years' experience in the financial services sector, three years of which must have been at regional manage ment and/or department supervisory level in the sales function. Experience in the payroll lending sector is an advantage.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to cultivate a high-perfor mance culture within the team.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong relationship building skills with stakeholders. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
