Job Description
The Aftercare Supervisor will be responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising all after-school and holiday care programmes. The role involves implementing creative, fun, and educational activities, maintaining effective communication with parents, ensuring quality care, and leading a team of assistants. The ideal candidate should be studying towards a B.Ed in Foundation or Intermediate Phase and possess excellent planning, administrative, and leadership abilities. A key aspect of this position is creating a structured yet nurturing atmosphere that supports children's growth and development outside of regular classroom hours.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate after-school and holiday care activities
Manage and supervise a team of three teacher assistants
Implement innovative educational and recreational programmes
Oversee healthy meal planning for children
Ensure quality control and stock management
Maintain communication with parents and stakeholders
Assist with marketing and financial administration of the programme
Create a supportive, structured, and engaging environment for children
Uphold the school’s values and contribute positively to its ethos

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Currently studying towards a B.Ed in Foundation Phase or Intermediate Phase (3rd or 4th year)
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position
Tutoring or Au Pair experience (advantageous)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to lead a small team
Excellent organizational, planning, and administrative skills
Innovative and energetic personality with a passion for children
Patience and compassion for working with young learners
Clear criminal record
