The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring proper accounting procedures, and facilitating smooth financial operations for the organization. The role requires a minimum of CPA Level 3 qualification, with a strong focus on compliance, budget management, and financial reporting. The Accountant will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial activities, including preparing reports, handling payroll, processing payments, and ensuring the NGO adheres to relevant financial regulations.
Maintain accurate financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including financial statements, budget reports, and donor reports.
Assist in the development and management of the organization’s budget.
Monitor expenditures and ensure that all financial activities comply with budgetary constraints.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded.

Required Qualifications:
CPA Level 3 certification is mandatory.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably within an NGO or similar environment.
Experience in grant management and donor reporting is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Accounting Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and budget management.
Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or other relevant systems) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate financial records.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with management, staff, and donors.
Ethical Standards: High level of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to the organization's mission and values.
