Job Description
FINCA Bank is hiring an Accountant responsible for establishing and maintaining accounting and internal control systems within the Finance Department. He/She is also responsible for ensuring adequate, effective, and efficient functioning of the department.
Department: Finance
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Preparing tax returns and submitting to the Tax Authority.
Preparation of general ledger reconciliation statement.
Maintaining the Fixed Assets Register.
Processing payments for suppliers.
Monitoring general ledger for all branches, identifying mispostings, and following up on reversals and outstanding items.
Preparing monthly schedules for outstanding items in the general ledger.
Posting staff salaries and other payments to staff and suppliers in line with the bank policy and procedures.
Following up on accountabilities of funds advanced to staff, verifying and retiring the funds in line with the bank policy.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance option, or any related field.
Professional certification in accounting, i.e., CPA/ACCA qualification.
3 years’ experience in banking in a similar role.
Competencies
Excellent analytical and comprehension skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity.
Ability to work under minimum supervision.
Attention to detail and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
