Job Description
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing management reports, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, tax filings, and liaising with external auditors. The Accountant must ensure accuracy, confidentiality, compliance, and timely financial reporting to support business operations.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Manage accounts payable and receivable.
Perform bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
Process payroll and ensure tax compliance (PAYE, VAT, NSSF, etc.).
Maintain general ledger accounts.
Budget preparation and monitoring.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations.
Support external and internal audits.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
ACCA or CPA qualification is an added advantage.
Experience level: 3-5 years
Knowledge:
IFRS, financial regulations, tax laws, accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Experience length:
Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience in a reputable organization.
Skills:
Analytical skills, financial reporting, problem-solving, integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, time management.
