Account Manager job at Exquisite Solution

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Manager to oversee the Accounts department for our client.

  • Finalize the company’s financial statements and address auditors’ queries.

  • Ensure accurate data entry for all accounting-related tasks.

  • Manage weekly and monthly petty cash reports, verifying receipts and vouchers.

  • Update stock reports and ensure timely submissions from storekeepers.

  • Verify material requests, ensuring they are signed by the engineer and approved by the general manager.

  • Check all purchases for necessary documentation (LPO, PO, invoices).

  • Handle statutory payments (PAYE, NSSF, LST, WHT, VAT).

  • Manage all related bank tasks, including cash withdrawals, online payments, bank correspondence, and rate negotiations.

  • Finalize payroll and handle related tasks.

  • Follow up on client payments for both old and current projects.

  • Issue invoices based on received certificates.

  • Ensure leave forms are properly completed and approved by the respective supervisor and manager.

  • Maintain organized files (bank, purchase, petty cash, project, requisition, delivery note, stock report).

  • Seek approval for all budgets and expenses, ensuring they are discussed and approved by the general manager before final approval from the head office.

  • Communicate and email all reports to the head office in Nairobi and DSM.

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Managing Director or General Manager

Key Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.

  • Professional Certification: CPA, ACCA, CIA, or a postgraduate or Master’s degree is desirable.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years, with at least 2 years at a managerial level in accounting or finance practice within a reputable organization.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks,

  • Sage, SAP, or other ERP systems.

  • Financial Reporting: Ability to prepare, analyze, and present management and financial reports, including Statements of Financial Position, Statements of Comprehensive Income, and Cash Flow Statements.

  • Tax Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and regulations, with experience in preparing and filing tax returns.
