Job Title: Cashier (5 Fresher Jobs)
Organisation: Kenjoy Supermarkets
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in our retail operations, directly interacting with customers and ensuring smooth transactions. You will be part of a dynamic team, reporting to the Head of Finance, and contributing to a customer-focused environment that values accuracy and efficiency. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals who are team players and possess a strong sense of responsibility.

Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
Greet customers entering the establishment.
Calculate total payments received and reconcile with total sales.
Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure amounts are correct.
Compute and record totals of transactions.
Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education: Post-secondary Diploma in relevant fields
Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role
Required Skills: Service Orientation, Active Listening, Speaking, Social Perceptiveness
Required Knowledge: Customer and Personal Service, Sales and Marketing
Technology Knowledge: Proficient in POS software (specifically Ritebooks) and spreadsheet software
Language Proficiency: English
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Skills: Service Orientation, Active Listening, Speaking
Preferred Knowledge Areas: Customer and Personal Service, Sales and Marketing
Preferred Duties: Issue trading stamps and redeem food stamps and coupons;
