Job Description
The Senior Director, MEAL, will work closely with MEAL Officers to design and implement MEAL activities that continuously improve program quality. The role is responsible for strengthening information management, enhancing data quality, and promoting organizational learning. Key tasks include documenting and disseminating program successes, overseeing the development of the DHIS2 system, and guiding operations research.
As a technical leader, the Senior Director will develop and implement MEAL technical standards and provide high-quality technical support to regional and country leaders. Additionally, the role involves building a strong organizational MEAL strategy, fostering collaboration across departments, and leading the MEAL technology strategy for electronic data collection and data visualization.
As a manager, the Senior Director will guide and mentor a diverse team of technical and program quality specialists, fostering a culture of performance and collaboration while overseeing recruitment, training, and professional development within the MEAL department.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Design and implement MEAL activities to improve program quality and outcomes.
Strengthen information management and data quality across the organization.
Document and share program successes and challenges with relevant stakeholders.
Lead the development and implementation of the DHIS2 system.
Develop and implement MEAL technical standards and tools.
Provide technical support to regional and country leadership teams.
Drive the organizational MEAL strategy, fostering data-driven decision-making.
Lead cross-departmental collaboration as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Develop and implement the MEAL technology strategy for data collection and visualization.
Manage, support, and develop the MEAL team to ensure high performance and collaboration.
Oversee staff recruitment, engagement, retention, and professional development.
Report to the President of FEED International and collaborate with senior leadership teams.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
At least 15 years of relevant experience in MEAL within a service delivery organization, International NGO, or similar agency.
Experience in data management, technology integration, and strategic partnerships.
Proven ability to lead and manage complex global organizations.
Experience managing budgets over $2 million.
Expertise in adaptive management and real-time monitoring systems.
Proficiency in MEAL software and data analytical tools (e.g., PowerBI).
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective strategic planning and execution skills.
Excellent public speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to adapt to dynamic work environments.
Ability to communicate in Spanish is an added advantage.
