Job Description

The Salesperson will actively engage with potential customers to promote and sell products or services. The role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. The Salesperson will also be responsible for maintaining customer relationships, managing sales processes, and staying informed about market trends.

Duties, Roles and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or services.

  • Provide detailed information about product features, benefits, and pricing.

  • Actively prospect and generate leads to expand the customer base.

  • Conduct product demonstrations or presentations to showcase value.

  • Negotiate terms and close sales to meet or exceed sales targets.

  • Upsell or cross-sell additional products or services to maximize revenue.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships to encourage repeat business.

  • Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address concerns.

  • Maintain a database of customer interactions and sales activities using CRM tools.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.

  • Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and market demands.

  • Process sales orders, invoices, and payments accurately.

  • Maintain a clean and organized sales area or showroom.

  • Collaborate with the inventory or logistics team to ensure product availability.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, marketing, or a related field is an advantage.

  • Minimum of 6 months in sales or customer service.

  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
