Job Description
responsible for achieving sales targets through proactive selling of the bank’s consumer lending, retail asset, and credit card products while ensuring compliance with KYC requirements and maintaining excellent customer service.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Support (90%)
Achieve exceptional sales performance through proactive selling and cross-selling of the bank’s alternate channel products.
Generate quality leads and follow up to convert leads into sales.
Participate actively in sales campaigns to meet specific targets.
Maintain accurate sales performance statistics for management use.
Submit completed application forms for various products as per bank policies.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all customer documents.
Comply with KYC and anti-money laundering regulations.
Adhere to operational risk management standards, including health and safety.
Customer Service (5%)
Deliver excellent customer service in line with Absa values.
Resolve customer queries and complaints promptly, escalating unresolved issues to the Line Manager when necessary.
Build positive relationships with internal service providers for quick turnaround of escalated issues.
Advise customers on account approvals and encourage transactions through agency banking.
Technical Experience and Capability (5%)
Share knowledge and experience with the team to improve collective performance.
Set annual performance objectives with the Team Leader, including sales targets.
Engage in personal development and training programs to enhance skills.
Risk, Governance, and Regulatory Compliance
Perform all duties in compliance with regulatory requirements, the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework, and internal policies.
Understand and manage risks relevant to the role.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a diploma or equivalent in a relevant field.
Experience in competitor product sales is an advantage.
Proven experience in front-line banking sales, marketing, or service environment.
Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent networking and influencing abilities.
Proficient in presentation and listening skills.
Ability to recognize sales opportunities and execute proactive selling.
Problem-solving capabilities with a sound understanding of bank operations and regulations.
Knowledge and Skills:
Basic knowledge of the bank’s products and services.
Understanding of local banking policies and regulations.
Knowledge of risk management, health and safety standards, and anti-money laundering protocols.
Familiarity with competitor products and services for high net-worth clients.
