Job Description
Advise the EACOP Medical Support Manager on health policies, medical laws, and regulations in Tanzania in collaboration with government health agencies.
Serve as a full-time physician for EACOP, specializing in general practice, occupational health, and emergency care.
Support EACOP management in organizing medical evacuations based on the capabilities of medical care facilities.
Coordinate with medical teams handling hospitalized patients.
Inform HR about fitness certificates for EACOP staff and ensure compliance with occupational health regulations.
Assess and monitor occupational health providers to ensure high-quality medical care for workers.
Develop and execute health awareness and prevention campaigns.
Assist in the development and implementation of EACOP’s Health and Hygiene Management System.
Coordinate medical support systems, including networks of hospitals, clinics, and emergency services.
Inspect and recommend health facilities and providers for EACOP use.
Provide medical advice and oversee site medical facilities and personnel.
Participate in the development of medical procedures and health policies.
Be available for emergency medical consultations and interventions.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Provide medical guidance to EACOP on health policies and regulations.
Act as the company’s full-time physician.
Coordinate with medical teams and assist with medical evacuations.
Assess and oversee occupational health providers.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Develop and manage health awareness programs.
Oversee medical support networks and emergency response plans.
Conduct health facility inspections and recommend providers.
Ensure adherence to medical and health procedures.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Professional Experience:
Doctor of Medicine (BSc).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical care and emergency response.
Technical Competencies:
Knowledge of tropical diseases and African healthcare systems.
Expertise in occupational health and fitness-to-work policies.
Familiarity with Tanzanian medical facilities and laws.
Experience in clinical medicine and remote site healthcare.
Understanding of international medical best practices.
Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is an advantage.
Behavioral Competencies:
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in IT tools (Word, Excel, SAP, Outlook, etc.).
Fluent in English and Kiswahili (spoken and written).
