Job Description
Job Title: Custodial Services Supervisor
Organization: Centenary Bank
Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda
Reports to: Manager Custodial Services
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Business
Contribute to development of the custodial services strategy and recommend initiatives that enhance client relationships
Conduct annual process review for improvement through analysis and optimization of custodial processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with other support and back-office units and ensure that the service provided is as per approved standards
Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing and Branding and Communication to ensure that customers from this segment are offered the solutions according to their needs
Recommend changes in offerings, processes, and products to meet the customer expectations.
Reporting & Compliance
Develop periodic reports to the Board of trustees and ensure adherence to regulatory reporting guidelines
Prepare annual budget and budget forecast and monitor monthly performance of the assigned custodial Business
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (BOU, URBRA, CMA), industry standards and ensure all risks associated with custodial services are mitigated
Sales
Spearhead the development and implementation of new Custody Services products and identify opportunities for growth and expansion of custodial services
Develop a target market database of clients in the Bank’s desired industries/sectors, have well defined business objectives
Support in developing and preparing standard proposals and presentations for banking services that will be pitched to potential clients
Provide guidance to the sales team and support the team to grow and manage portfolios though cross selling, relationship management and resolving customer queries in a timely manner.
Support in the onboarding of retirement (Defined and contributory) schemes, and unit trusts.
Train and mentor branch staff and relationship managers on Custodial products and services
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain relationships with clients and beneficiaries, understanding their needs and preferences.
Act as an RM for the assigned portfolio of managed umbrella schemes, retirement schemes and unit trusts.
Work closely with client relationship teams and internal stakeholders to provide the best customer experience to boost utilization of products and solutions under Custodial Business

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Degree in commerce, business administration or rated business course and Professional qualification in any of the following ACCA, CPA, CMFC
Certificate in Trustee Training Programme
Knowledge of pension scheme administration and fund management services
Business Development, Relationship Management and Customer Service Skills
Good understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements of corporate governance, business, and banking operations
Required Experience and Competences:
Minimum of five (5) years Banking Experience – Three (3) of which MUST be in Custodial Services
2 years’ experience in operations of Custodial Services
