Job Description
The Teller will serve as the first point of contact for customers in the banking hall, providing essential cash services and support. The role requires keen attention to detail, accuracy in transaction processing, and a strong customer service mindset. Tellers will work closely with the Branch Operations and Satellite Managers to uphold the bank’s standards of financial integrity and customer satisfaction.
Location:
Branches across Central, Northern, Eastern, and Western Uganda.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Receive and count cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
Provide savings account balance information to customers.
Perform daily cash register balancing as per set schedules.
Process specialized tasks such as preparing statements, personal and money orders.
Verify and receive payments for loans, utility bills, and mortgage installments.
Accurately record all transactions at the close of each shift.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding savings accounts and other bank services.
Support the opening of new customer accounts.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any field.
Key Competencies:
Timely resolution of customer queries
Customer satisfaction and service excellence
Teamwork and collaboration
Accuracy in transaction handling (target error rate of 0.05%)
Ability to reduce cash shortages
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Ability to handle high transaction volumes efficiently
