Job Description
The Associate Field Manager - Internal Audit will play a crucial role in ensuring GiveDirectly’s compliance with internal standards and audit requirements. They will oversee the productivity and quality of field officers, develop work plans, manage expenses, and ensure data quality. The position requires proactive leadership to coach team members and mitigate risks while maintaining operational excellence.
Duties, Roles and Responsibilities
Track productivity and quality of deliverables from Internal Audit Field Officers (IA FOs).
Review operational reports and discuss performance with Internal Audit Field Manager (IA FM) and Program Manager (PM).
Identify and mitigate operational risks and provide updates to the IA FM.
Provide coaching and guidance to field officers, addressing challenges and escalating issues when necessary.
Shadow staff to identify areas for improvement and professional development, especially during training.
Develop and execute daily work plans and manage expense requests for field activities.
Ensure data quality by examining field data against GiveDirectly’s data standards.
Report any cases of fraud, bribery, or inconsistencies identified during field activities.
Represent the organization effectively to external parties and build strong communication and relationship networks.

Qualifications, Education and Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Work experience in Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage.
Proficiency in Swahili and/or Runyankole.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex field challenges and work independently.
High proficiency in MS Excel.
Strong alignment with GiveDirectly’s core values and mission.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-player mentality.
